My experience with the Urban Fellows Program was very beneficial for my personal growth and my professional aspirations. Within the program, I interned alongside a hospice social worker devoted to increasing the quality of life for those at the end of life’s journey. This opportunity helped me to gain skills in serving vulnerable populations, and to make a difference in the lives of those around me. The financial assistance of Urban Fellows allowed me to more freely engage with this essential and impactful career path of hospice social work, of which I hope to work in after graduation with my Master’s of Social Work degree this upcoming spring. -Sydney Moody
