“Hi, I’m Gianna! During my practicum at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, I completed rotations in radiology, the St. Jude Affiliate Clinic, PEDS/PICU, and, most recently, the emergency department. In these rotations, I observed child life specialists in action and engaged in normative activities with patients and their families. One significant experience was participating in an honor walk for a patient. Throughout my practicum, I have received tremendous support and resources, which have been instrumental in my development.
