The Career Connections Center serves students, faculty, and alumniin an increasingly diverse and competitive job market, while striving to connect TWU with employers across the nation. Throughout the academic year, the consultant for Exploratory Students facilitates workshops and seminars on career exploration and career readiness skills to help students feel prepared for life after graduation.
We understand that not knowing what to major in can be a stressful situation. Our goal is to help students explore how their personality, interests, values, skills, and cultural background impact their career decision process. We believe that major does not always equal career, however, we understand the importance of feeling confident in the path a chosen major might lead.
Through classroom presentations, workshops and one-on-one appointments, students are able to expand knowledge of possible career paths, prepare for the workforce, and connect with potential opportunities for internships, part time jobs, and full time employment. Career Connections guides students in maximizing opportunities to gain experience and explore all possible paths to help students make a decision.
