Work Study Information

Work-Study is a need-based, federal aid program that can be awarded to students if they show financial need. When hiring a work study student, the department is only responsible for 25% of the wages and work-study covers 75% of the student wages until the work study award is depleted. The department is responsible for 100% of the student wages thereafter, and also when hiring non work-study student employees.

The institution encourages the hiring of work study students to help departments supplement their expenses.
