Human Resource Department-  Division of diversity Recruiting Initiatives:

City of Austin – Human Resource Department established a new division to assist City of Austin Departments with developing and implementing a comprehensive, integrated and strategic focus on diversity and inclusion as a key component of all human resource recruitment programs and community engagement. This division works directly with the City’s Affinity Groups and other inclusion groups, and is responsible for holding various recruiting functions on college campuses. The Division works with departments by evaluating recruiting processes, diversity recruiting efforts, and on-going community outreach & engagement.

 

Highlights:

 

  • Created seven new University partnerships in Austin for Diversity Initiatives Division.
  • Developed, coordinated and implemented 21 diversity recruiting programs with new external partners.
  • Created a tracking mechanism for Internship positions across all the City of Austin Departments.
