The work for social justice is critical and to highlight the work that Hutto ISD is doing regarding equity, racism, and inclusivity is humbling. We do not seek recognition or accolades for the work we are attempting to accomplish, but we hope that it transforms lives and addresses systemic inequities to better serve our students and families. Educational disparities for students of color is one of the many reasons why we have addressed these issues head on. Also, we are focused on strong recruitment of culturally diverse candidates and creating lasting relationships with schools like yours to hire diverse candidates. To that end our district has established an Equity, Racism, and Inclusiveness (ERI) Task Force. We are better together and when we say all, we mean it.
