About the Role:
Cheers for Change is seeking a passionate and reliable Education Intern to support our Spark Program, a youth enrichment program focused on arts, education, and personal development. This role provides hands-on experience working directly with children while also designing engaging weekly activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and leading weekly activities for youth
- Create and develop weekly lesson plans and activities for students
- Support students during program sessions and encourage participation
- Help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment
- Collaborate with team members to execute program goals
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization
- Communicate with team members about student engagement and needs
- Contribute creative ideas to improve programming
Schedule & Commitment:
- Wednesdays: 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM (Rec Center Program)
- Summer: 2 days per week
- Fall: 3 days per week
- Must be available from May through November
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to commit for the full internship duration (May–November)
- Comfortable working with children
- Professional, dependable, and punctual
