Hey there, coding enthusiasts and future educators! Are you excited about coding and passionate about teaching? We’ve got a fantastic opportunity just for you! Join Coding with Kids as a Coding Instructor and help K-12 students discover the magic of programming after school and during camps.
$$$ Bonus and Compensation Alert: Earn up to $60 per hour of teaching kids! How does that break down?
- You are paid at a competitive base rate for:
- Teaching time with students (classes are about 1 hour long)
- The extra time you need to prep, and be onsite to set up and clean up each day, which adds up to 1 hour of paid time per 1 hour-class.
- In addition, you will earn a performance bonus of $20-30 per day for the in-person class you teach as long as you fulfill your professional responsibilities.
This adds up to earning $33-$60 per hour of teaching kids!

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teach Fun Coding Classes: Lead interactive, hands-on coding sessions at local schools in Maryland, the greater Seattle region, and Portland
- Maryland area in Bethesda, Potomac, Rockville, Wheaton, and Clarksburg.
- Portland area in Beaverton, Downtown, Southeast, Vancouver (School: Cascadia), Hillsdale/South Portland
- Seattle area in University District, Central District, Roosevelt, Madison Park, Capitol Hill, Greenlake, Seattle, Beacon Hill, West Seattle, Renton, New Castle, Union Hill, Bellevue, Redmond, Totem Lake, North Bend (Si View), Kenmore, and Carnation.
- Diverse Curriculum: Use our engaging curriculum to teach a variety of programming languages including Scratch, Python, AI, Web Development, Minecraft Modding, Roblox, Robotics, and more!
- Inspire Students: Create a positive, exciting learning environment that makes coding learning fun and accessible.
- Build Connections: Foster strong relationships with students and fellow instructors.
