We have seen the need for and created a position of a Data & Analytics Intern position. The role will provide hands-on development in support of data architecture and reporting, in addition to helping maintain and expand our current platforms.
The individual will need to have strong analytical and people skills and the ability to work at a high level with senior staff and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to assist with modeling & analysis projects related to marketing, finance, product, and forecasting. The role will leverage data and various reporting technologies and explore options with AI/ML to enable insight for divisional leadership to derive business decisions. In addition, responding to daily reporting and ad-hoc analysis request from functional areas, documenting processes and work with other members of the team on data related items as necessary.
During the course of their duties the IT Data Analytics Intern will:
- Assist with modeling & analysis solutions as related to marketing, product, and forecasting leveraging data to derive insight and influence business decisions.
- Work with the Portfolio Management, Application, and Business teams to provide the best possible solutions for the enterprise with a focus on quality, on-time delivery, low cost, and a high level of sustainability.
- Assist with the design, develop and deploy data & analytics solutions through partnering with the Business stakeholders.
- Work with technical leads and managers to support teams with technical consulting, direction, and problem solving as part of the standard systems development life cycle process.
- Assist with the day-to-day reporting & ad-hoc analysis requests from functional areas
- Apply and support architecture, governance, security, and global process standards to system changes and deployments.
- Work on full life-cycle solution delivery projects, including the development, testing, and tuning of complex solutions and will manage full life-cycle solution delivery projects.
- Develop and maintain documentation and roadmaps for data and analytics solutions
- Assist in planning release cycles, maintenance periods, and develop and monitor processes for both.
- Be hands on with the design, development, and troubleshooting of existing systems and solutions and will work with team members and/or 3rd party suppliers as required
During the course of their duties the IT Applications (Automation and Integrations) Intern will perform the following:
- Provide automation and integration solutions as part of the development and deployment of enterprise system solutions.
- Work with the Portfolio Management, Application, and Business teams to provide the best possible solutions for the enterprise with a focus on quality, on-time delivery, low cost, and a high level of sustainability.
- Design, develop and deploy process automation solutions through partnering with the IT and business stakeholders.
- Work with technical leads and managers to support teams with technical consulting, direction, and problem solving as part of the standard systems development life cycle process.
- Assist with the design and deployment of integration solutions between new and existing applications platforms.
- Apply and support architecture, governance, security, and global process standards to system changes and deployments.
- Work on full life-cycle solution delivery projects, including the development, testing, and tuning of complex solutions and will manage full life-cycle solution delivery projects.
- Develop and maintain roadmaps for system automation and integration
- Plan system release cycles, maintenance periods, and develop and monitor processes for both.
- Be hands-on with the design, development, and troubleshooting of existing systems and solutions and will work with 3rd party suppliers as staff augmentation in whole or in part as required
Qualifications
- Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or advanced degree in information systems or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in software design and development, data architecture and analytics.
Skills/Requirements – Preferred of experience with:
- Application development life cycle
- Data architecture and financial modeling
- Java, Python, HTML, Powershell, Python, CURL, and tools such as PostMan
- SQL development and database design
- JSON/XML data structures
- RESTFul API Integrations
- Windows and Linux server
- Network design and troubleshooting, local and global
- Project management
