Make an impact while serving the community safely during COVID-19

AmeriCorps Member Positions Available in Dane County, Wisconsin

Are you interested in providing meaningful mentorship for youth, serving your community and launching your career? Serve with AmeriCorps this summer to connect with and support youth.

Partners for After School Success (PASS) AmeriCorps is seeking part-time members! PASS is offering opportunities to serve 300 hours from June 14 through August 28, 2021. Service opportunities are available at multiple host sites throughout Dane County.

Members are responsible for serving middle or high school youth at their designated host site by co-facilitating camps, enrichment clubs and service projects. These may take the form of virtual meetings or in-person programming. PASS offers members a direct service experience with on-site supervisory support, the chance to explore career interests and build your resume while changing the life of a youth.

Employers are taking notice of AmeriCorps with many joining the Employers of National Service initiative—a concerted effort to connect AmeriCorps alumni to employers who understand the value alumni bring to their organization. Check it out! http://www.nationalservice.gov/special-initiatives/employers-national-service

Requirements: Corps Members commit to serve 300 hours between June 14 and August 28, 2021. Applicants must be 17 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have a high school diploma or GED, and pass a criminal background check. We provide training. Previous youth work experience paid or volunteer is a plus!

Members receive a living allowance of $2700 ($450 bi-weekly, pre-tax); are able to put qualified student loans in forbearance; may apply for the WI FoodShare program (eligibility determined by the State); receive gear and an education award of $1,311.11 upon successful completion of the term.

For more information and to access an application, go to www.PASSAmeriCorps.org or e-mail Bonnie Erickson at erickson.bonnie@countyofdane.com.

Applications are due May 1, 2021. An informational call will be scheduled upon receipt of the application.
