The North America Demand and Supply Planning Organization is responsible for:
- Inventory Management & Deployment
- Master Data Management
- Display & Repack Planning Management
- Integrated Business Planning & Supply Chain Capability
- Supply Chain Digital Analytics Strategy & Reporting
The North America Supply Planning Team is responsible for the following KPI’s:
- On Time and In Full (OTIF) Shipments to customers
- Supplier On Time and In Full (SOTIF) to GSK
- Inventory Reduction Targets
The North America Supply Planning Team engages with many cross-functional peers. The following are examples of typical day-to-day stakeholders:

This role is within the U.S. Supply Planning Team.
Job Description
This student will support the following responsibilities/projects:
- Supply Planning
- Participate in weekly Supply Chain Issues Management process and provide insightful root causes to leaders
- Contribute to the Rough-Cut Capacity Planning with Global Supply Strategy Teams
- Assist in supporting continuous improvement projects in ways of working with the Process Capability Team
- Identify and resolve residual and slow-moving stock issues with Demand and Operations
- Master Data & Inventory
- Analyze stock levels within portfolio through detailed review of safety stock, lead times, supply reliability, demand variability, and service objectives to maximize KPIs
- Support review and maintenance of supply planning parameters in SAP Master Data
- New Product Introductions and Artwork Updates
- Participate on NPI Project Team and provide supply planning information to allow for 100% OTIF of launches
- Coordinate with Supply Planner and Sites to ensure production strategy is aligned and minimization of write-offs
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a BS degree in business, computer science, engineering or supply chain management
- Prior internship/co-op experience valued
- Candidate must be at least entering sophomore year by the time of the internship
- Candidate should have proficient experience with MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Word
- Candidate is proficient at writing macros in MS Excel or has other computer programming experience
- Candidate should have the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Candidate should work well with others in a team environment
- Candidate must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 4-12 month co-op.
- Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in SAP
- Previous experience in analyzing root causes and proposing alternative solutions/what-if scenarios
