COVID-19 Best Practices (National Focus): This project will focus on how governmental waivers meant to ease food access during the pandemic, and implemented differently on state levels have impacted rates of hunger across the country.

Food Secure 2025 (NYC Focus): This project will focus on examining what anti-hunger policy recommendations made to the mayoral administration have or have not been implemented. And help inform and shape future recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate’s Degree or 1-2 years related work experience in social work, education, public health, public administration, nutrition, public policy.
  • Knowledge of federal nutrition programs like SNAP, WIC, and/or the NYC School System
  • Willingness/experience working with non-profit organizations and government agencies
