Understanding the workings of the nervous system — how it functions and what goes wrong in a wide array of neurological and psychiatric diseases — is one of the greatest challenges in biomedical sciences. In this program, you’ll work alongside renowned faculty in clinical and basic studies of a range of neurological diseases and in translational studies aimed at developing novel diagnostics and therapies.
We seek applicants who want to pursue an advanced degree in neuroscience research.
All doctoral students admitted to the program are fully funded graduate research assistants and receive a stipend, tuition remission, and health insurance for the duration of the program (assuming satisfactory academic progress is met).
Additional program information is available on our website: https://med.psu.edu/neuroscience-phd
A non-funded, research master’s program is also available.
