About STEM For Kids®
Join STEM For Kids®, a leader in hands-on STEM education since 2011! We empower K-8 students across the nation to become active creators through robotics, engineering, coding, AI, and financial literacy by partnering with school districts, afterschool programs, daycares, and community organizations to bring fun, real-world learning to life. Following recent contract wins across key educational regions (including school districts in Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington), we are looking for self-motivated District Partnership Specialists to support our expansion.
Role Overview
This is an independent, project-based contractor role ideal for students, stay-at-home parents, or recent graduates in education, communications, business, or marketing looking for flexible sales and business development experience. You control your own schedule, work completely on your own time, and drive outreach to school principals, STEM coordinators, and program directors to introduce our turnkey curriculum packages, workshop field trips, and afterschool programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Outbound Outreach: Initiate contact with school administrators, STEM coordinators, and afterschool directors in target regions via phone, email, and professional messaging.
- Relationship Development: Identify school STEM needs and introduce STEM For Kids’ done-for-you programs and do-it-yourself instructional curriculum bundles (rp.stemforkids.net/catalog). Introduce decision-makers to our program offerings and schedule brief discovery calls for our partnership team.
- Lead Capture: Collect completed Request for Information (RFI) forms from interested sites.
- Activity Tracking: Log daily outreach efforts and prospect updates in our CRM.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and reliable with independent time management.
- High-speed internet access, personal computer/device, phone, and a quiet space for professional calls.
- Interest or background in K-12 education, business development, or marketing is a plus.
Compensation & Earning Potential
We offer a hybrid compensation model combining a guaranteed base retainer, weekly performance incentives, and closing commissions:
- Base Retainer: $200 bi-weekly (based on meeting minimum weekly outreach activity targets of ~8–10 hours/week).
- Incentives & Commissions: Additional weekly performance bonuses for scheduling qualified meetings, collecting interest forms, and closing school program contracts.
- Estimated Realistic Earnings: $400 – $800+ per month depending on active outreach and results.
