Institute of Management Accountants

The Institute of Management Accountant’s goal at TWU is to guide its student members through the process of preparing for a successful career as accounting and finance professionals.

As an IMA Student member, you can learn about the role of accountants and financial managers in business and explore your career options. IMA offers student members access to many of the benefits of regular professional membership. As a member of this group, you are automatically a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter with more than 810 members.

There are many accounting organizations available for students to join, but what distinguishes the IMA from other organizations is the emphasis on the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification. Being a member of the TWU IMA Chapter, members have the opportunity to receive CMA preparation course information as well as scholarships.
