Student Success Story: Jashanpreet Chohan

My experience with the Urban Fellows Program has provided an opportunity for me to grow professionally. I interned at Texas Health Resources (THR) as a Healthcare Administration Intern for the Heart & Vascular Unit. I got the opportunity to shadow the leadership and business unit meetings to gain a deeper understanding of the work flow of the hospital administration. I worked on a process improvement project within the department to earn my yellow belt certification. This internship also allowed me to shadow and explore different job roles within administration. It is a valuable experience to intern at THR and see a real-world example of the concepts taught in my courses. I am excited to finish my dual MBA & MHA degree and advance my career. – Jashan  Chohan
