Everyone's heard the phrase “diversity and inclusion” (“D&I” for short), but what does it really mean? Why is it so important? And how do you find companies that prioritize it?

The Career Connections Center offers a number of opportunities to meet students where they are – right on campus…in Denton, Dallas, or Houston.
Schedule an informal information session where you’re able to make a presentation about your industry, your company, its culture, and career opportunities. You’ll be able to meet with students before and after your presentation, answer questions, provide tips about how to stand out with their application. Many times information sessions are held in conjunction with on-campus interviews. Please contact Brookelyn Bush for more information.
You’ll have a table set-up for you in a high traffic area to maximize your interaction with students. We invite you to bring your company displays, distribute promotional materials and “SWAG,” and speak with students about your company and opportunities. We’ll promote your campus presence on TWU Connect (we ask that you post any positions for which you’re recruiting, and we’ll include on our promotional materials). Please contact Brookelyn Bush for more information.
Volunteering your time to present to student organizations and classrooms is a great way to increase your brand awareness, strengthen your relationship with the university, and do some informal recruiting. You’ll also be helping our students with their personal and professional development. Your presentation will be educational with a professional development or industry related topic, but you can also insert some company promotion. Register and we’ll match you with a requesting student group or faculty member.
Hosting students in your place of business is a great way to increase your brand recognitions, develop and strengthen a potential recruiting relationship with the university and TWU students, and it gives you the opportunity to mentor a pre-professional student, helping them understand your industry, your company and its culture, as well as helping them in their self-exploration and get a glimpse of the world of work.
We welcome you to interview potential candidates on all 3 campuses. We’re happy to provide you with a private space, while you’ll take care of your own schedule and candidate communication. To make arrangements, please contact Brookelyn Bush.
Each semester, TWU hosts a campus-wide, all majors Career & Internship Fair on our Denton campus, as well as numerous industry related fairs on all three campuses. Find one (or more) that fits your needs.
