Student Success Story: Anushka Mukund

During my internship with the Houston Food Bank I became a part of their Apple Corps program, which is a dedicated group of volunteers that work in various roles at the food bank. I chose to complete my internship at the food bank because there was such variety in what I could do, from food drives to administrative work to working in their warehouse. I gained valuable insight into the management of large nonprofits and created great memories giving back to my community in the midst of a pandemic. I hope to continue working with nonprofit organizations in the future and my contributions to the food bank will continue past this semester. I am grateful to the Urban Fellows Program for providing me with this opportunity and their continued support this semester. -Anushka Mukund
