Student Success Story: Lizee Love

lizabeth “Lizee” Love is a graduate student in the Marriage & Family Therapy program at Texas Woman’s University. Lizee has been incredibly excited to begin her internship journey this summer at the UT Southwestern ALS Clinic and Family Studies Center! Her initial work has involved counseling ALS patients and their families, working with couples across the lifespan, and navigating the world of integrated healthcare. The Urban Fellows Internship Program has allowed Lizee to focus on what is important — building her clinical skills, developing as a mental health provider, and tracking her projects and growth. Additionally, the Career Center has been an invaluable resource in creating a professional resume and cover letter, which has allowed Lizee to connect with the internship site best suited for her clinical interests and professional growth. – Lizee Love
