My internship experience has been challenging yet rewarding. I’ve gained essential skills that allowed me to strengthen my communication skills, increase my professionalism, and apply the knowledge I’ve learned in my program in a non-profit agency. Investing time and energy into your academic success through internships shows a different level of commitment and is something I would recommend to every undergraduate and graduate student. Thanks to the Urban Fellows Program, I was supported through my time commitment to my internship at a local nonprofit, while still being able to commit time to my education.
