Dear Texas Tech Students,
Thank you for your interest in our Dillard’s Executive Development Internship Program for Summer 2024. This program is open to Junior or Senior level students. Our internship is taught by Dillard’s management and utilizes self-discovery and mentoring. We have found that the most successful individuals in our program come from Business Management and Retail majors; however, the program is open to all majors.
The goal of the internship is to train future executives for leadership positions within our organization. To allow for the best opportunity for success, Dillard’s gives interns access to store, divisional and corporate executives. Interns will gain leadership skills through event planning, personnel development, system training and product placement enhancement. Also, interns will have access to understanding and evaluating the procurement of merchandise within our stores. Some additional industry specifics that interns will be involved with include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding of daily, monthly and yearly focuses to exceed sales targets
- Involvement with the networking and hiring of experienced personnel.
- Evaluating and analyzing sales and brand performance.
- Understand and implement, regional and corporate merchandise guidelines.
- Engage in all categories of selling and non-selling areas within store.
- Interaction with both Regional and Corporate executives for learning opportunities.
This is a 9 week, full time (35-40 hrs/wk), paid internship. We offer Summer internships only. Exact dates are June 2nd – August 3rd
A student’s ability to relocate to different markets is essential for consideration in joining our internship program.
