DFW Asthma & Allergy Center is looking for candidates who could fill front office or back office positions.
DFW Asthma & Allergy Center is committed to providing the best possible care for our patients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We provide patients, adult and pediatric, with innovative allergy and asthma therapies that fit their lifestyle. We are currently seeking a full-time medical assistant to support our growing office based in Plano, TX.

Qualifications/experience:
· EMR skills (eClinicalWorks) preferred but not necessary
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Excellent understanding of HIPPAA compliance regulations and handling of confidential and sensitive information
· Knowledge of insurance verification preferred but not necessary
Required experience:
· Legal status to work in US
· Valid driver’s license/car insurance
· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Principle front office duties and responsibilities:
· Maintain patient flow
· Check in patients, collect co-pays and deductibles.
· Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
· Answer phones, resolve patient concerns or take messages as necessary
· Scheduling patients
Cross training with back office medical assistants:
· Escort patient to rooms, take vitals, assist physician in obtaining medical history and HPI
· Perform allergy testing procedures and breathing tests
· Assist in educating patient on treatment plans, corresponding with patient to answer questions
· Adhere to OSHA requirements
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday
