Responsibilities and Duties:
The Bioinformatics intern will work within the department of Cheminformatics and Machine Learning to support drug discovery efforts by developing computational tools to analyze DNA-encoded library (DEL) selection data and identify sequence-driven binding signals. These responsibilities involve working closely with our Early Discovery teams.
- Analyze DNA sequencing data to enable data discovery and exploratory analysis across multiple ongoing selection programs
- Develop reproducible, visualizable outputs to guide future selection experiment design
- Contribute to building reusable, scalable tools with direct impact on drug discovery workflows
- Document methods and contribute to scalable, reusable analytical workflows
Qualification Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Strong coding background required (Python preferred)
- Familiarity with sequencing data analysis and/or statistical methods a plus
- Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., matplotlib, seaborn) preferred
- Understanding of DNA-encoded library (DEL) technology or selection-based screening a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to communicate complex concepts across teams
- Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and collaboratively
