The number one reason students attend college is to obtain the required education for a career. We understand that having a defined career goal increases the motivation and drive to complete a degree. Career Connections is here to help students define and refine their career path. From choosing a major, to getting experience, to getting started in your career path, getting your first job or applying to graduate school, Career Connections can help. We assist students in understanding the connection between their education and their career and how to put their education into practice in the world of work.
At graduation, students will have earned more than just a degree. With support from Career Connections and TWU, graduates will have acquired a unique package of skills and experiences in addition to their education that will make them stand out in the job market.
To assist students with career development, we offer:
- One-on-one appointments with a Career Consultant in person, on the phone, or via video conference
- Employer connection events such as lunch and learns, networking opportunities, and career fairs (including Part-Time and Summer Job Fairs)
- Getting experience through on-campus employment, off-campus jobs, and Internships. Internships are handled through the Office of Internships in the Pioneer Center for Student Excellence
- TWU Connect for events, career fairs, and making an appointment- you must be a currently enrolled student or an alumni to use our services
